To mark the launch of the new Amnesty group in Zug, we warmly invite you to a panel discussion on the current situation in Sudan. Hear from experts and those affected about how the humanitarian crisis is impacting the population, what role Switzerland is playing, and what we can do.
Afterwards, there will be a small reception offering the chance to chat and find out more about ways to get involved with Amnesty in Zug. Anyone particularly interested can join the new group straight away!

The crisis in Sudan has now been ongoing for over three years, and unfortunately there is no end to the war in sight. The hostilities and attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are exacerbating an already devastating humanitarian crisis. Currently, more than 560,000 civilians are trapped in the city of El Obeid, including 105,000 displaced people who have already fled violence elsewhere. The latest escalation is devastating and is once again hitting particularly vulnerable groups such as women and children.
