Marina Mello
From bittersweet whale songs to destructive, unsettling, and jarring noise provocations, she explores, challenges, and transcends the musical boundaries of her instrument. Marina Mello is a brazilian harpist based between Zurich, beyond her classical music training, she has developed an authentic artistic voice through the harp and its infinite possibilities. Her work focuses on researching new sound textures through paradoxes between emptiness and noise, acoustic sounds and electronics. Exploring non-traditional approaches to the instrument, such as extended techniques, prepared harp, and effects pedals. In September 2025, Marina released her debut solo album (LP) with the Peruvian label Buh Records. Deságua was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award (PdSK) in the category Contemporary Classical Music (Longlist 1/2026).

ALGOL is an electroacoustic trio by composer-performers Elias Stemeseder, Christian Lillinger, and Peruvian flutist and sound artist Camilo Ángeles. The project was initiated through a collaborative tour and recording session in Mexico, spanning Mexico City and Guadalajara, and later expanded to performances in Berlin and Vienna.
Conceived as an open system for real-time sonic construction, ALGOL operates at the intersection of electroacoustic synthesis, extended performance techniques, and live signal processing. The trio’s work engages with the materiality of sound itself, treating acoustic gesture, electronic transformation, and spatial diffusion as equal components in a continuously evolving musical discourse.
Rather than adhering to idiomatic boundaries, ALGOL prioritizes the hybridization of aesthetic languages. Each member brings a distinct lineage: Stemeseder and Lillinger, known for their boundary-pushing compositional strategies and complex rhythmic vocabularies; Ángeles, recognized for his radical deconstruction of the flute, employing microtonality, hyper-amplification, and spectral nuance. What emerges is a collaborative grammar that challenges conventional hierarchies of instrument and medium. Through dense textures, volatile form, and moments of fragile transparency, ALGOL explores music as a site of inquiry—unfixed, unstable, and sensorially immersive.
ALGOL's debut album was released in October 2025 on Buh Records, the Peruvian experimental music label known for its commitment to experimental, avant-garde, and forward-thinking music.
