Wenn der amerikanische Singer-Songwriter Chris Staples zur Gitarre greift, wird es ruhig – aber nie still. Mit seinem neuen Album Don’t Worry bringt er am 19. Oktober 2025 seine zart schwebenden Melodien und poetischen Alltagsbeobachtungen ins Chäslager nach Stans.
Nach Jahren unterwegs – von Florida bis Washington – hat Staples in Richmond, Virginia endlich einen Ort der Ruhe gefunden. Dort, zwischen Tieren im Garten und den langsamen Rhythmen des Morgens, entstand ein Werk, das mehr ist als nur Musik: eine Sammlung feinfühliger Momente, Erinnerungen, Begegnungen und dem Mut zur Stille.
Auf Don’t Worry (VÖ 05. August 2025) zeigt sich Chris Staples reflektierter denn je: warme Harmonien, sanfte Gitarren- und Klavierklänge und das verträumte Spiel der Pedal-Steel-Gitarre lassen Raum für Gedanken, Gefühle und Geschichten. Geschichten von Fernweh und Heimkehr, von kleinen Begegnungen, die Grosses hinterlassen.

«I'm very sad to announce that I have to cancel my upcoming Europe tour. It was a very difficult decision to make.
I have been touring for nearly thirty years, and this is the first tour that I’ve ever had to cancel. I love playing shows and getting out into the world. I love connecting with the people who listen to my music in the places where they live. There isn’t a greater honor for me. I wouldn’t do this unless I absolutely had to.
Recently I’ve had numerous personal and financial setbacks. The margins for independent musicians in 2025 are incredibly slim, so it’s difficult for a person like me to absorb any substantial losses. I was still down to make this tour happen regardless. Money (the lack of it specifically) has never stopped me from putting out music or touring it.
But the real stomach punch came last week. A family member of mine passed away unexpectedly. It became clear to me that I should not leave the country but stay here and tend to family matters. I'm exhausted and grieving, and I'm not really fit for a month on the road.
Thanks to the promoters who booked me. Thanks to my wonderful friends who bought tickets. I’m sorry we can’t see each other now.
